1:2 Metal complexes which in the form of the free acid conform to the formula <IMAGE> where X1 and X2 are each -COO- or -O-, B is in each case the radical of a coupling component of the benzene or hydroxyquinoline series, and M is a metal capable of 1:2 complexing, and <IMAGE> and <IMAGE> are radicals derivable from diazo components of the benzene series, of which at most one contains an SO3H group and the molecule does not contain any fibre-reactive substituents and where the two radicals B can be identical to or different from each other, the preparation thereof by analogy processes and the use thereof, in particular as dyes, especially as grey leather dyes, and also preparations containing such dyes.
