PURPOSE:To express the leading character of one sentense by a capital and the succeeding characters by small letters and putting a period on the final position to reduce an input error, by specifying capital shift automatically after inputting the period, and after input of the capital, specifying small letter shift automatically on the basis of the specification of the capital shift. CONSTITUTION:A mode alteration switch SW is fitted to an English word processor. After inputting a period, the switch SW specifies the switching to one of a capital/small letter specifying mode or a normal mode. The switching state of the switch SW is inputted to an AND gate 10, and when a period signal P specifies the shift mode, an FF20 is set up. When a capital signal L is inputted from the FF20, the output of the FF20 is inputted to an OR gate 30. A capital/small letter shift key operating signal B is inputted to the gate 30 to express the leading character of one sentense by a capital automatically and the character on and after the 2nd by small letters and output a period finally, so that the operation of character input is improved. |
