DEVICE FOR PRODUCING EMULSIFIED LIQUID

PURPOSE:To obtain continuously an emulsified liquid having high quality even from a liquid dispersed phase which is highly viscous or is solidified at an ordinary temp. in a device for atomizing electrostatically the liquid dispersed phase in the liquid continuous phase which flows down. by using a rotary atomization head heating the pipe which supplies the liquid dispersed phase to the head. CONSTITUTION:An atomization head 12 is rotated at a high speed with an air motor 17, and the high voltage from a generator 38 is applied thereto. The continuous phase in a tank 10 is supplied through the annular passage 7 and many small holes 8 in a tank 10 toward the thin film forming surface 2 of an emulsification tank 1 where the thin film of the liquid is formed. The highly viscous liquid dispersed phase in a tank 26 is supplied through a pipe 25 to the head 12. The part 25A of the pipe 25 from the tank 26 to the intermediate part is heated with a heating element 29 wound around the pipe and the part from the intermediate part to the head 12 is formed with doubled pipe. The liquid dispersed phase and hot wind are passed respectively in the inside and outside pipes. Then the liquid dispersed phase is maintained at a low viscosity in the pipe 25 and is atomized satisfactorily with the head 12. The particles are incorporated into the thin liquid continuous phase film on the surface 2, by which the particles are thoroughly dispersed and are captured as the emulsified liquid in a tank 4.
