PURPOSE:To increase the cooling efficiency of a field coil by providing vent passages between a pole core and a field coil, and between the layers of the field coil, arranging partition members between the field coils. CONSTITUTION:A first vent passages 60 which have a large intermediate are provided between a field core 10 and a field coil 11, a second vent passages 70 are provided between the layers of the field coil 11, a first partition member 22 bridged between the lower ends of the field coils 11 is provided, and the partition member 23 forming a third passages 80a, 80b which are supported at the intermediate of the field coils 11 and have larger cooling air inlet and outlet between the field coils 11 is arranged between the field coils 11. The pressure of cooling air is enhanced by a partition piece 24 and the member 23 to be flowed from the third vent passage 80a to the second passage 70 and to the first passage 60 and the flowing velocity of the cooling air passed through the first and second passages 60, 70 can be accelerated. Further, the ventilating state of the cooling air between the layers of the field coils 11 can be equalized. |
