METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TREATING HIGHLY VISCOUS SOIL

PURPOSE:To make easier the treatment of highly viscous soil following a stabilization work in which the highly viscous soil is sufficiently mixed with an additive by using a process in which an additive is spread on highly viscous soil being pushed out little by little from a vibro-hopper, and the highly viscous soil so treated is repeatedly cut into smaller pieces. CONSTITUTION:When highly viscous soil is supplied to a hopper 9, the soil drops under its own weight because the side plate 10 of the hopper 9 is vibrated by a vibrator 11 and also the soil is pushed out little by little by an oil-pressure cylinder 13 pusher provided at the bottom of the hopper 9. While an additive is spread on the soil, the soil is cut into small pieces for raising the mixing degree of the additive and the soil. The highly viscous soil can thus be stabilized and the succeeding treatment of the soil can be made easier.
