PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for filters and to deal with the diversification, etc. in a photosensitive material, by using a semiconductor color sensor as a detection means which detects the various densities of an original. CONSTITUTION:The original on an orginal placing plate 20 is irradiated with an original illumination lamp 21, and the reflected light exposes a photoreceptor 25 through mirrors 22, 23 and an imaging lens 24. A semiconductor color sensor 26 is provided in the optical path on the exit side of the lens 24, and the output thereof is supplied through a correction circuit for approximating the same to the spectral characteristic of the photoreceptor to a lighting circuit 28 for the lamp 21. The circuit 28 controls the lighting of the lamp 21 so that the light onto the photoreceptor 25 is kept always at a specified quantity. The output of the sensor is thus approximated to the spectral sensitivity characteristic of the photoreceptor without using any filter and the image having good quality is stably obtd. |
