<p>Single crystalline DL-cysteine characterized by the X-ray diffraction spectrum wherein strong reflection lines appear at the following latice spacings are novel crystals showing excellent storage stability.$(15,)$("f" in the column of relative intensity (I) means a strong spectral intensity, and "ff" an extremely strong intensity). The single crystalline DL-cysteine is prepared by neutralizing an aromatic sulfonate or hydrochloride of DL-cysteine with a base in a mixed solvent composed of water and an organic solvent selected from lower alcohols and cellosolves. </p> |
