The invention relates to a pneumatically operated ratchet screwing tool which, by means of an additional device, is constructed so that it is also suitable for screwing on self-securing nuts which are screwed onto co-rotating shafts or the like. The additional device forms a counterholding means which prevents rotation of the shaft or the like while the self-securing nut is being screwed on.
