PURPOSE:To attain the optical writing by an infrared ray and the read by a visual light by providing a recording layer comprising two kinds of specific chemical compounds. CONSTITUTION:Input information is converted into an optical signal by a semiconductor laser 2 via a control circuit 3 and the image is formed to the prescribed position of an optical recording medium via an optical system. The image is formed at a radiant ray absorbing layer including a croconicmethyne dye. Although the polyacethylene derivative chemical compound existing at the image focal point does not absorb the laser beam of the wavelength, the croconicmethyne dye absorbs the laser beam, is heated and the heat is delivered to the adjacent polydiacetylene derivative chemical compound, which is colored into red to execute the optical writing. Since the read light of the semiconductor laser 10 emitting a visual light of a wavelength of a range of 550-750nm has a low output and the wavelength is at the outside of an infrared ray region, the croconicmethyne layer of the light recording medium 1, reflected and converted into an electric signal at the photodetection face of a photodetector 12, and the reproduction read of the recording is applied via an output circuit 11. |
