The hood comprises a housing (1) with an inlet formed by its open (2) underside covered by a releasable (hinged 8) grille (9) and an outlet spigot (3) for vapour extracted via a filter by a fan inside the housing or connected to the spigot. This filter consists of filter paper (12) which is held (11) on a supply roll in the rear of the housing and extends (via slot 13) along the underside of the grille between two lateral guide rails (14). - The forward end of the paper is held by a hinged (16) spring-loaded flap (17) provided with a slot (19) with sharp or scalloped edge (20) along which a soiled length of filter paper can be torn off. - The filter paper is disposable and covers the underside of the grille thus avoiding the need for cleaning the grille itself.(1/3)
