PURPOSE:To prevent water from entering a car room by projectingly providing a water preventer toward the center of a frame at the base of a weather strip. CONSTITUTION:A weather strip 10, in which a flexible plastic base 11 and a rubber lip 12 are integrally extruded, is fitted with its base 11 to a flange 9 on the periphery of a sun-roof frame 4. With the lip 12 closely connected to the surface of a roof panel 1, the boundary is sealed between the periphery of the sun- roof frame 4 and the roof panel 1. An integrally provided water preventing piece 13 is projected almost horizontally toward the center of the sun-roof frame 4 from the base 11 of the weather strip 10 on the periphery of the frame 4. Thereby any retained water, which may run up the wall by inertia as shown by the arrow due to, e.g., rapid starting, is reversed by the water preventing piece 13 and prevented from reaching the closely connected part between the lip 12 of the weather strip 10 and the roof panel 1, and thus, preventing water from entering the car room. |
