A filter apparatus for removing dust from gases, in particular air, has a suction channel, a delivery channel and filter cloths between the channels. The filter cloths are formed as a multiplicity of filter tubes, each of which is pushed over a sealing connection at one end. A perforated plate separates the suction channel from the delivery channel. The filter tubes are firmly clamped between the sealing connections. The sealing connections lie by means of a flange on one side of the perforated plate. They have a clamping apparatus. The clamping apparatus is a tensioning component. It is arranged between the perforated plate and a support strip lying at a distance above the perforated plate.
