PURPOSE:To dry grains stably at any time by providing an interval controller which shorten the operation time interval of a water sensor when a drying speed based upon the water detected value of the water sensor exceeds a set drying speed range. CONSTITUTION:Grains put in a drying machine are circulated downward in a drying chamber 2 repeatedly and dried by being exposed to a hot blast produced by a burner 1, and the water value of the grain in process of the circulation drying is detected by a water sensor 3 specific times to calculate the moving average value of the detected water values, and this calculated value is used as a detected water value to calculate the drying speed of the grains from the detected water value. When the calculated drying speed of the grains based upon the water value detection of the sensor 3 exceeds the set drying speed range, the temperature of the to blast produced by the burner 1 is controlled to lower temperature and while the grains are dried, the calculation time interval of the calculated drying speed based upon the water value of the sensor 3 is shortened, thereby drying the grains while calculating the drying speed of the grains. Thus, the grains are dried stably at any time.
