PURPOSE:To perform registration and processing corresponding to transaction mode by providing an area for displaying a processing section corresponding to an area for storing department information, and inputting, storing, and operational processing information, section by section. CONSTITUTION:A mode selecting means 10 is placed in setting mode to perform temporary storage 12, and pieces of information on the unit prices of departmental articles and information indicating whether addition to the grand total of each department is required or not are inputted and stored in the area of a CPU1 with numeric key 3 and function key 5. Then, the CPU1 performs processing according to a program in an ROM6 to set information in a memory 7 departmentally. A selection 10 of registration is made and departmental article names and quantities are inputted with the numerical keys 3 and function keys 5; and the CPU1 reads unit-price information out of the memory 7 to calculate and outputs the result on a printer 8 and a display 9. Thus, registration processing conforming to the transaction mode of a shop is possible and the flexibility of the ECR is improved. |
