PURPOSE:To obtain a long-lived photoreceptor nondamaged against friction forces repeatedly exerted on the surface and high in mechanical strength, by dispersing fine alumina powder together with a photoconductive substance into a binder resin and forming a photoconductive layer on a conductive substrate. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive liquid is prepared by dispersing 0.1-100pts.wt. fine alumina powder having <=5mum particle diameter and 10<6>-10<14>ohm.cm volume resistivity into 100pts.wt. electrically insulating known binder resin, together with an inorganic photoconductor, such as CdS, or an org. photoconductor, such as copper phthalocyanine, dispersed or dissolved in the resin. The conductive substrate is coated with this liquid, dried, hardened to obtain an electrophotographic receptor. The photoreceptor thus obtained does not undergo damages on the surface of the photosensitive layer, even when a large number of copies are continuously made in a high speed copying machine or the like, it has high mechanical strength and long useful life, and forms a sharp image. |
