<p>PURPOSE:To purify waste water with microbes by diffusion, by packing a columner box comprising a plate-like body having many holes with porous pebbles, and letting waste water treated in a purifying tank flow through said box. CONSTITUTION:Waste water having passed through a purifying tank (without using a pasteurizer) is introduced through an introducing opening 16 into a water-intake tank 12. Said waste water passes from the water-intake tank 12 through the holes 32 of pipes 30 and 30 and penetrates into porous pebbles 28a, 28b. It further flows through the holes 38 of a box 36 and damps porous pebbles 42a, 42b. In consequence, the waste water comes in contact with the porous pebbles 28a, 28b, 42a, 42b having extensive surface areas, so that it is purified with microbes adherent to their surfaces. At the same time, the waste water comes in contact with the atmosphere by a large surface area since the porous pebbles 42a, 42b are accumulated in a thin laminar state, so as to perform the rapid evaporation of the waste water. The reduced waste water is transferred through a water-collecting tank 18 to a pasteurizing tank 22, pasteurized therein and then drained through an outflow opening 24.</p> |
