PURPOSE: To attain economical manufacture, high safety, and reduction in weight by forming one or more components such as a side horizontal member involving a seat part and/or an arm, a backrest involving a foldable table, and a supporting leg, out of sandwich plates. CONSTITUTION: This seat is comprised of a side horizontal member 3 involving a seat part 2 and an arm 5, a backrest 4 involving a foldable table 6, and supporting legs 1. The seat part 2 is formed by combining a thick sandwich plate with a thin sandwich plate 1 which is at the lower part. The horizontal member 3 is also formed by mutually-combining molded parts manufactured in advance out of the sandwich plates. The backrest 4 surrounds a supporting core, and is comprised of two thin shells formed into a recessed shape. Resin impregnated cover layers and a form having a suitable contour are put in a suitable mold and then hardened. |
