PURPOSE:To obtain an injection molding machine provided with a mold clamping cylinder and a stopper sandwiching a cross head while a toggle type mold clamping mechanism is so arranged on the stopper to be modified to control the mold closing of a mold clamping cylinder through a cylinder mechanism. CONSTITUTION:In a mold clamping cylinder 1, one end of a link 5 is connected thereto with a pin through a cross head 4 at the tip of a piston rod 3. Ends of two links 11 and 12 are separately connected to opposed surfaces of a movable platen 10 with a mold 9 and a toggle support 2 with a pin. These links 5, 11 and 12 compose a toggle mechanism. Force of the mold clamping cylinder 1 is expanded near the die closing limit with the toggle mechanism but the movement of the movable platen reduces to control the movement of the mold 9. Thus, the mold closing operation is halted temporarily just before the die closing limit or the mold is pushed back to the temporary stop position during the clamping of the mold to widen the space between dies thereby finely adjusting the mold clamping force. |
