PURPOSE:To read out data at a high speed, by driving a shift register by an external column address strobe signal and in a nibble mode and then driving an output buffer by the output signal of the shift register to read out successively the contents of a data register. CONSTITUTION:In a nibble mode an external column address strobe signal ExtCAS is change as ''L'' ''H'' ''L'' ''H'' while an external row address strobe signal ExtRAS is kept at ''L''. Then it is possible to read out successively the data stored in data registers DR1-DR4 with actuation of shift registers DS1- DS4 are regardless of an external address. Thus the data can be read out at a high speed with a stable operation. |
