PURPOSE:To permit a coil to be automatically, speedily and accurately wound on not only a doughnut-shaped core but also a toroidal core, by constituting an essential part of an automatic winding apparatus by main and auxiliary manipulators for core and main and auxiliary manipulators for winding. CONSTITUTION:The automatic winding apparatus comprises: a press device 1 for flattening the end part of a wire in cross-section; a cutting device 2 which cuts the wire into a predetermined length and has fingers for clamping a winding on the wire feeder side; a main manipulator 3 for effecting winding; an auxiliary manipulator 4 for effecting winding in cooperation with the main manipulator 3; a main manipulator 5 for moving a core; an auxiliary manipulator 6 for core; an adhesive tape feeder 7; and a core positioning device 8 which optically effects the positioning of the core. By this constitution, a minute toroidal coil or the like is automatically and optimumly wound by employing an extremely thin wire. |
