PURPOSE:To improve the yield of a material and to manufacture a seal ring which is excellent in seizure resistance by slight turning, by manufacturing a seal ring base body from a rod material, and flame-spraying the plasma of an abrasion resistive material to specified thickness on the seal face of this base body. CONSTITUTION:A half-finished work having the same section as a section of a prescribed seal ring by hot-rolling a rod material consisting of a steel material, and it is bent by a roll to a prescribed diameter, by which an annular body 4 is manufactured. A connecting part 5 of this annular body 4 is fixed by flash pad welding, and the seal ring base body of a prescribed shape is obtained. This base body is sized to prescribed dimensions, and thereafter, is turned, and the turned face is blast-treated. A WC-Ni or WC-CO compound alloy is flame-sprayed in the form of plasma to thickness of 0.07-0.3mm. on the seal face of the base body, and is lapped. |
