PURPOSE:To prevent decrease of the stability of a bearing pad even if the diameter of a rotary shaft increases, by reducing the inertial mass by reducing the weight of the bearing pad. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of supporting pins 2 are screwed towards a shaft core around a bearing body 1 which can be divided into the upper and lower parts, and said supporting pin 2 rotatably supports each bearing pad 3. Each bearing pad 3 supports a rotary shaft 4 through an oil film. The both edge surfaces of each bearing pad 3 are cut in inclination to form an inclined surface 3a and thus the weight of each bearing pad 3 is reduced, and the inertial mass can be reduced. |
