PURPOSE:To improve electrostatic acceptance and retentivity of a photoreceptor in the dark and to enhance its sensistivity and durability, by adding a metal- free phthalocyanine pigment of a bisazo pigment to a charge generating layer and an acylhydrazone compd. to a charge transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:The charge generating layer is vapor deposited either directly or through the medium of an interlayer onto a conductive substrate or the charge transfer layer. A charge generating material is finely pulverized in a dispersion medium with a ball mill, a homogenizer, or the like, and when needed, a polymer binder is mixed and dispersed. The charge generating layer is obtd. by coating with the dispersion thus prepared. The methods of the charge generating layer, the charge transfer layer, and the interlayer are properly selected from the following ordinarily used coating methods: Film attachment coating, brush coating, dipping, blade coating, roll coating, spraying, flow coating, and spin coating. A preferable compsn. of the charge generating layer is 1/(<=10)/ (<=0.8) of said pigment (metal-free phthalocyanine of bisazo pigment)/polymer binder/additive ratio by weight, and that of the charge transfer layer is 1/(0.5- 30)/(<=0.8) of acylhydrazone/polymer binder/additive ratio by weight. |
