PURPOSE:To prevent breakage of a tool beforehand by allowing the connection force of a connecting apparatus for connecting a tool holder to a driving shaft to be controlled and permitting working feed to be suspended or decelerated when the driving torque exceeds a set value. CONSTITUTION:A driving shaft 2 and a tool holder 3 for holding a tool 4 are connected through a spindle axis 12 by a connecting apparatus 1. After the connection force is set to the max. allowable torque of the tool 4 by adjusting an adjusting screw cover 14, the driving shaft 2 is revolved for working, but if the torque which is applied onto the tool 4 exceeds a set value, the divergence of revolution is generated between the inner surface of a casing 11 and a friction disc 13, and the relative displacement which is detected by a magnetic head 17 increases over a prescribed value, and a signal is transmitted from the magnetic head 17 to a n N.C. apparatus 9 through a transmitter 18 and a receiving apparatus 19, and working feed is suspended or decelerated. |
