PURPOSE:To prevent hammering of gear, by applying drag resistance from a shaft to a speed change gear only when relative rotation is caused between the speed change gear and the shaft. CONSTITUTION:Since a shaft 2 is not turned during idling operation of an engine in the state that the vehicle is stopped, a speed change gear 1 causes relative rotation to the shaft 2 in the direction shown by A in the drawing. During the above relative rotation of the gear 1, it is turned while dragging a cage end portion 3b' kept in contact with the inner peripheral surface 1a of the gear 1 in the direction erecting the cage end portion 3b', so that the drag resistance is applied to the change-speed gear 1. Therefore, even if the engine torque is changed, the backlash between meshed teeth of the speed change gear 1 and a gear 4 exists always on the side located rearward with respect to the rotation of these gears 1 and 4, so that hammering of the gear due to the backlash can be prevented even if the engine torque is changed. |
