<p>The drinking trough for poultry comprises a cover on a hollow screw or post mounted on the trough, using a water supply controlled by a float. The water-distributor in the trough is fitted with a non-return valve in the form of an oscillating arm mounted on the trough wall. The foot of the arm incorporates an aperture for the water feed and uses a ball located between inclined rails to control the flow. The rails incorporate stops and the ball closes the aperture when the water in the trough is at a set level. The screw or pot may also be equipped to fasten to an overhead line, feeding food and water to alternative groups of troughs and mangers, also being fitted with a height-adjustable disc-shaped guard.</p> |
