PURPOSE:To improve the detecting accuray of an oxygen sensor by improving the shape and dimension of a port on which a heat control valve is attached, in the titled device in which a dilating chamber is provided at the central part of an exhaust manifold and a port is opened toward left and right sides. CONSTITUTION:A dilating chamber 2 is provided at the central part of an exhaust manifold 1, a catalytic substance converter 4 is arranged directly under said dilating chamber 2. Said exhaust manifold 1 includes twin pipe parts 8, 12 and crook passage parts 13, 14. A heat control valve 15 is fixed as rotatable on a shaft center 16 of said crooked passage part 14. In such structure, said dilating chamber 2, said catalytic substance converter 4 are eccentrically arranged toward said port 13 side opposite to said port 14 on which said valve 15 is fixed facing to a riser part 17. The length of said port 14 is longer than said port 13. The passage cross section area of said port 14 is gradually throttled toward the opening part of said dilating chamber 2. Thereby, the contact of exhaust gas for an oxygen sensor 3 is improved. |
