PURPOSE:To heighten the effect of antirust treatment, by mixing a sandblasting material into pressurized water containing a low concentration of an antirust agent, to prepare sandblasting water and by using the sandblasting water to roughly treat a workpiece and thereafter using an antirust liquid of high concentration to finish the surface of the workpiece. CONSTITUTION:A sandblasting material supplied from a sandblasting material tank and high-pressure water supplied from a low-concentration antirust agent tank are mixed together to sandblast a structure from the bottom toward the top through a sandblasting nozzle. Before the sandblasted surface becomes dry, a finishing antirust liquid from a tank for a concentration not lower than about ten times of that of the liquid in the low-concentration antirust agent tank is projected onto the sandblasted surface. After that, the surface is dried and then painted. The liquid at the lower concentration of 50-1,000ppm is first applied to prevent the wet surface from rusting at the sandblasting. Right after that, th liquid at the higher concentration of 0.5-2.0wt% is applied to finish the surface. This results in heightening the effect of antirust treatment. |
