PURPOSE:To enhance ink-absorbing capability, resolution or the like, by incorporating a quarternary ammonium salt type electrically conductive agent into an ink-receiving layer or a base so that the surface resistance of the ink-receiving layer in the conditions of 20 deg.C and 30% RH is not higher than 9-10<11>OMEGA. CONSTITUTION:The ink-receiving layer comprising at least synthetic silica and an aqueous adhesive is provided on the surface of the base consisting of a sheet form material such as a paper or a thermoplastic resin film to constitute an ink jet recording sheet. In this case, a quarternary ammonium salt type electrically conductive agent is incorporated into the base or the ink-receiving layer so that the surface resistance of the ink-receiving layer is not higher than 9-10<11>OMEGA even at a low ambienet humidity. The electrically conductive agent can be incorporated into the recording sheet, for example, by previously applying it to the base or impregnating the base with it and then providing the ink-receiving layer. |
