Transparent film of plastic, which is covered with wire-like conductors which may serve as conductor loops for an alarm circuit, the conductors lying spaced apart parallel to one another and running essentially over the entire web width of the film, in which film the parallel conductors (4, 4') are subsequently connected in pairs and laterally alternating on at least one side of the protective film by conductive cross-pieces (6, 6') arranged in the region of the outer side (5, 5') of the protective film, to form a meanderingly continuous length of line. The conductors may be wires, glass fibres or glass fibre bundles.
