<p>The heat store is made from strips of cellular material, with open cells and these can be impregnated with water. The strips are placed side by side in a water tight enclosure. The store can work at freezing point or operate to a temperature above ambient. The assembly permits the lowering or raising of the temperature of articles before being moved to a temperature other than ambient. They can also be maintained above thaw. The use is mainly for transporting edible or drinkable products.</p> |
