Electrically adjustable mirror glasses (5) in exterior rearview mirrors (1) in cars must also be capable of readjustment if for whatever reason the electric current fails and thus the electric adjustment assembly can no longer be moved. In such a case, the entire mirror drive block with mirror glass is adjusted in its suspension elements (3, 6, and 7) by pressure on the mirror glass about the horizontal and vertical axes, the entire drive block being moved about the central suspension element (3). The guide pins (7), of which optionally one to four can be provided, produce so much friction that an adjustment of the entire assembly is only possible by means of external influencing e.g. with the hands. The guide pins (7) must be attached in such a way that their longitudinal axes extend through the centre of the sphere (3), in which case when the pins (7) are not located one behind the other the centre line of said pins must extend exactly at a right angle, in turn, through the centre of the sphere (3). This simple adjustment advantage is accompanied also by the advantage of easy mounting of the drive block (4) in the mirror housing since the customary attachment screws can be dispensed with. <IMAGE>
