PURPOSE:To obtain the titled radiator which is simple in structure with reduced soldered sections and whose manufacturing step is simplified by a method wherein tanks of the radiator is constructed of weldable stainless pipes and both ends of the tanks are blocked with plates of a material similar to the material of which the tanks are made. CONSTITUTION:A vehicle radiator has upper and lower tanks 20 and 21 formed of tubular members and pluralities of holes are provided in the lower side surface of the tank 20 and the upper side surface of the tank 21 by a boring process. The tubular members for forming the upper and lower tanks 20 and 21 are made of steel material such as stainless steel subjected to an anticorrosive treatment and both ends thereof are flared so that each of the members is gradually enlarged in diameter toward that ends from the central part thereof in the longitudinal direction. Further, side brackets 22 and 23 extend from the upper end to the lower end of the radiator 30 and are made of the same material as the upper and lower tanks 20 and 21. Further, the upper and lower ends of the radiator are provided with flat and sections 22a and 23a, respectively, and the intermediate section is provided with fitting sections 22b and 23b, respectively, such that the flat end sections 22a and 23a are welded to both ends of the upper and lower tanks 20 and 21 to thereby block the latters and to secure the rigidity of the radiator 30. |
