PURPOSE:To obtain a photoreceptor superior in durability, photoconductivity characteristics, etc., by forming on a conductive substrate a photoconductive amorphous layer contg. Si as a main component having a layer region contg. an element of group V of the periodic table on the side of the substrate, and a layer region contg. O in a specified distribution included in said region. CONSTITUTION:On a conductive substrate 101 a photoconductive amorphous layer 102 contg. Si as a main component is formed having a layer region 104 contg. an element of group V of the periodic table, such as P in a uniform distribution, and a layer region 103 contg. O in a distribution rich on the side of the substrate 101 and continuously decreasing in the reverse side direction, the region 103 being included in the region 104 and used for it, too, and further, an amorphous layer region 105 contg. Si as a main component formed on the region 104. An electrophotographic receptor having the photoconductive layer 102 is thus obtained and it has superior resolution, photosensitivity, durability, etc. |
