OPTICAL RECORDED SIGNAL REPRODUCING AND ERASING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To surely erase an optical recording tape having any erase characteristic by incorporating a heating body consisting of a resistor for erasing of a recorded signal in a housing. CONSTITUTION:An optical recording tape 1 passes tape guide rolls 5 from a tape take-up reel 4 and is brought into contact with a drum-shaped erasing heating head. The position and the diameter of the head is selected in accordance with easiness of erasing of the recording medium so that the contacting length of the optical recording tape 1 to the head is optimum. The tape 1 is run on an erasing heating resistor 2 provided on a drum 7 to erase the recorded signal. This drum-shaped erasing heating head is fixed to a drum fixing supporting bar 9, and power is supplied by an electrode 8, and the tape passes a tape retaining roll 6 and a signal is optically recorded on the tape by a recording head after the recorded signal is erased by this erasing head.
