PURPOSE:To make taping in synchronization with the moving speed of wire by rotating a friction wheel by frictional contact with the wire traveling continually, by transmitting this rotation to a taping ring, and by permitting a tape coil on said ring to orbit as well as to rotate round its own axis. CONSTITUTION:When a wire 12 consisting of multiple flat-square drum bunch is taped round a rectangular bobbin 11 mounted on the rotary shaft of a winder 10, a wire 2 is threaded through the traveling route provided in the central part of the frame 20 of taping device and wound round the bobbin 11, where the frame 20 is fed transversely by and by, being driven by a feed motor 17. The wire 12 is at this time pinched by friction wheels 22, 24 of upper and lower roller units 21, 23 and thereby the wheels 22, 24 are given a rotational motive according to frictional contact. Rotation of the wheel 24 will turn the taping ring 36 through a transmission, not illustrated, and thus the taping is performed by permitting the tape coil 38 to rotate round its won axis as well as to orbit with the wire 12, immediately before being wound up by the frame 11, as the center of orbiting. |
