A wheel with a brake arrangement arranged in the wheel hub, especially for roller skis, has a wheel axle, which is arranged between two support arms composed of metal. A rigidly fixed brake flange is arranged in a good thermally conductive connection with one of the support arms. The wheel hub is so designed that with the aid of a screw arrangement, which is arranged on the other side of the wheel, it can be brought into engagement with one side of the flange. Heat generated during the braking process is thereby dissipated from the flange to the support arm without the other parts of the wheel and the screw arrangement being exposed to this heat. |
