PURPOSE:To improve operability of a machine tool, by switching the detected signal of a touch probe and the reference signal of an encoder by the operation of a switch on the side of the touch probe. CONSTITUTION:When the stage 3 of a machine tool 1 is fed, a signal corresponding to the feed amount is imparted to a counting and displaying device 7, and the feed amount of the stage 3 is digitally displayed. All digits of the display on the displaying device 7 are returned to zero by the detecting signal from the touch probe 8. A linear encoder 6 supplies the reference signal to the displaying device 7 when a reference mark is detected. The probe 8 is connected to the displaying device 7 through a connector 23. A binary coded signal and the reference signal ZS applied to a terminal G1 are imparted to an AND gate 100, and a binary coded signal applied to a terminal G2 is imparted to an inverter 101. The outputs signals therefrom are supplied to an OR gate 102, and the detected signal and the reference signal are switched. |
