PURPOSE:To display digitally information with a small number of wirings and to display many control information, by converting each input information of an engine controller consisting of a microcomputer to serial information and multiplex-transmitting this converted information to a microcomputer for display through a single signal line laid in a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:Electric signals required for engine control of a car are detected by rotation, water temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, oil level, and speed sensors 8-13 and are applied to a CPU15 through an input interface 14 of a microcomputer 1. Input information from each of sensors 8-13 is converted to serial information by the computer 1, and this serial information is transmitted as a prescribed information frame to a microcomputer 2 through a signal line 3. Serial information is converted to parallel information by a CPU33 of the computer 2 and is separated to respective information by a separating circuit 34. Respective information separated by the circuit 34 are applied to a digital display part 38 arranged in the driver seat and are displayed digitally. |
