PURPOSE:To prevent the leakage of cooling water and the steam from a heat exchanger, by forming a labyrinth in the space between gaskets of heat transferring plates and sealing members, and by supplying gas of high pressure to the labyrinth part. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of fins 13 and 14 are projected from sealing parts 13 and 14 which are for sealing up a heat transfer plate 1 in a casing part 4, on the side facing to gaskets 2 and 3, forming labyrinths 15 and 16 in the space between the seal parts 13 and 14 and the gaskets 2 and 3. With such an arrangement, steam and cooling water can gradually decrease their fluid pressure while they are flowing into regions of the labyrinths 15 and 16, so that they can be effectively prevented from being leaked out into the other flow path. |
