PURPOSE:To make the production of an Mo plate having excellent surface smoothness possible in the stage of forging and hot rolling an Mo sintered body then annealing, mechanically polishing and pickling the same and further cold rolling said body to produce a plate material by pickling the sintered body with specific cleaning liquid. CONSTITUTION:In the stage of producing an Mo plate to be used as an X-ray flux regulating plate in an X-ray diagnosing device, a sintered body of Mo powder is forged and hot-rolled to a plate material and after the plate material is annealed and polished mechanically, the material is pickled and is finally cold rolled, whereby the intended Mo plate is produced. In this case, a thin Mo sheet 3 is passed by guiding rolls 4 in the inside of pickling liquid 2 consisting of 20- 40% nitric acid, 40-60% phosphoric acid and 15-25% acetic acid as cleaning liquid for pickling, whereby the surfaces are pickled. The generation of pitting on the sheet 3 is obviated, and the Mo sheet having high brightness and smooth surfaces is obtained in the next cold rolling. |
