<p>Process comprises reaction of a carboxylic acid with excess of an alcohol of formula R, OH, where R7 is methyl, ethyl or a higher alkyl chain. Specifically, the acid, or a reactive derivative of it, has the formula (I) and the derivatives have the formula (II) where X, R, R1 and R2 can be various types of radicals. The reaction takes place at 15-50 deg.C in the presence of an acid catalyst.</p> |
