PURPOSE:To input a KANJI (Chinese character) code and an A/N code by converting a 2-byte KANJI code into a 1-byte A/N code. CONSTITUTION:After the starting of a scan, when a scan signal reaches where a light pen 5 is brought into contact, a scan control part 4 stops the scan. Then, a character code is sent from a KANJI code generation part 3 to a KANJI A/N code generation part 10. A code specification part 9 specifies an A/N code and when it is judged that codes from the KANJI code generation part 3 correspond to 256 characters at a left end, a KANJI A/N code generation part 10 converts a 2-byte KANJI code into a 1-byte A/N code, which is outputted from an output part 8. When not, the 2-byte KANJI code is passed through the KANJI A/N code generation part 10 and outputted as it is. |
