PURPOSE:To obtain a two-wire glow plug capable of being processed and assembled simply and also of making the seal and electric insulation of the contact between a fitting metal and a heating tube stronger at low cost. CONSTITUTION:The coupling between a fitting metal 1 and a heating tube 2 is made by a method in which the heating tube 2 is inserted into the center of the fitting metal 1, a glass sealing material 5 is packed into an annular aperture between the inner wall of the fitting metal 1 and the periphery of the heating tube 2, while centering and then the glass sealing material 5 is melted by heating. When the annular aperture is narrow, a paste glass sealing material may be coated on the periphery of the heating tube or the inner wall of the fitting metal and then both may be coupled with each other. Furthermore, a glass pipe may be fitted into the annular aperture. |
