<p>The connector (1) joins a box section (3) at right angles to a grooved extrusion (2). The two straight, parallel parts of the connector which slot into the box section are linked by a pivot joint (27) which allows slight rotation to allow the connector to grip inside the box section. Tapered jaws at the opposite end of the connector have a neck which slides into the groove of the extrusion (2). A cotter pin (22) is pulled outwards by a screw (25), pushing a roller (18) towards the jaws which are forced apart, initially by rotation about a pivot (27) and then by elastic deformation of the jaws until they grip on the edges of the grooved section.</p> |
