PURPOSE:To safely build up a caisson in the sea without affected by tidal wave and wind on the sea by raising the caisson by connecting it stepwise on the sea while supporting the caisson on a caisson receiving base. CONSTITUTION:Only the lower part of a caisson to be built up by connection on the sea is manufactured, launched into the sea 1, and then moored to a pier 4 fixed in the sea with the attention of raising the caisson on the sea. Then, the upper part of the caisson is raised on the lower part while supporting the bottom of the caisson 3 on a caisson receiving base 11 holdable at adequate places from the upside of the pier 4. After the raising work is finished, the caisson is slowly hung down by a winch 8. Thus, the building-up of the caisson by connection on the sea can be attained comparatively easily. |
