Method and device for removing sealing inlays from closure caps

Method for removing sealing inlays from metallic closure caps, in particular from rotational closure caps for bottles with a closure thread. A method for removing sealing inlays from closure caps is described in which the circumferential wall of the closure cap is initially rolled into an essentially cylindrical shape, whereupon the sealing inlay is mechanically peeled off from the inner face of the end wall of the closure cap. In addition, two different embodiments of a device for carrying out the method are described.
