Process for treating sludgy, pulverulent or dissolved materials, in particular environmental poisons and wastes containing other environmental pollutants, for transport and subsequent recycling or long-term storage by binding the wastes with cement, and/or bentonite or with quicklime or its hydrated products. The materials are processed with the binders to give pellets having an ideal particle size distribution, the pellets being produced in different particle sizes on separate pelleting discs and being subsequently gently mixed, or being produced in the target mixture directly in a plough mixer.
