PURPOSE:To prevent a crew's head etc. from hitting at a moving end part by using a photoelectric switch when a seat belt is moved. CONSTITUTION:The light beam emitting unit 8 of the opposing type photoelectric switch is provided at the end part of the seat belt 4 with metallic parts 11, while the moving path of the end part of the seat belt 4 is included within the optical path. The light beam receiving unit 9 is provided at the rear end of the rail guide 5, the warning area is formed by the photoelectric switches 8, 9 when the seat belt 4 is fastened. The existance of the object such as a human body 10, etc. within the warning area is detected by said switch, then the fastening operation of the automatic seat belt fastening apparatus is stopped when the fastening operation is not started. When the object is detected within the warning area after the fastening operation is started, the winding operation is immediately stopped, and the moving of the end part of the seat belt is interrupted. |
