PURPOSE:To realize an automatic cleaning of a pickup element, by securing the interlocking between the cleaning action of the pickup element and the positioning action of a recording disk. CONSTITUTION:When a cam gear 321 starts its revolution in the direction x1, a stylus 34 is moved down until it contacts with a fur material 356 by an up-down shifting device. This shifting device is substituted with an up-down shifting device which moves a disk down to the signal recording surface or moves the disk up above the signal recording surface. Then the gear 321 turns toward x1 and a cleaner lever 354 turns toward x2, and as a result, the stylus 34 is cleaned by the material 356. When the gear 321 turns about half, the lever 354 is also stopped. In this case, the stylus 34 is positioned at the opposite side even on the material 356 and then moved up to a position where the stylus 34 is separated from the material 356. When a current is supplied to a coil 432, the up-down shifting device of the stylus 34 presses down a plate spring 42 to give the stylus 34 a contact with the disk or the material 356. |
